RecycleMatch makes it totally free for you to inquire or bid on any item listed on our site.Find high quality materials, bid instantly, and quickly arrange to take possession, all with no risk. There are no fees for buyers to use the RecycleMatch marketplace.

Detailed Process

1. Register on the RecycleMatch marketplace.

2. Discover materials from Fortune 500 companies, manufacturers, municipalities, recyclers, and other companies and ask questions to confirm good fit.

• Browse RecycleMatch to find materials you need.
• Register for custom email alerts so that we can email you when new materials that match your criteria are posted to the marketplace.
• When you find an item you are interested in, send any questions to the seller. Your identity and the seller’s identity are kept confidential for the brand protection of both parties.
• Use the My RecycleMatch dashboard where you can monitor listings, place items on a watch list, as well as confidentially respond to messages.

3. Make a binding bid on the materials.

• Once all questions are satisfied, place a binding sealed bid on the materials. You will get immediate feedback on where you rank relative to other sealed bids, but you will not see the amount of other bids. You may increase your sealed bid at any time while the listing is live, but you can’t lower your bid.
• Seller may elect to close the listing early if they get an acceptable offer or they may wait until the designated close date. Once a winning bid is selected, RecycleMatch will notify you if your bid was selected or not. All bids are subject to the approval of the seller.
• If your bid is accepted, you will receive an invoice electronically from RecycleMatch. You will also receive an e-mail introducing you and the seller.

4. Make escrow payment and receive materials.

• Your payment goes into a RecycleMatch escrow account to protect you and the seller.
• Once we receive payment, we alert the seller to release materials to you or your designated logistics provider.
• Upon verification of the release and shipment of the materials via Bill of Lading and other proof as needed, which may include weight certificates, photos, or other items, RecycleMatch releases 50% of the escrowed funds to the seller
• Confirm when you receive the materials in good order. Upon the earlier of, either the buyer receiving the materials, or within 45 calendar days of the shipping date on the bill of lading, RecycleMatch will release the remaining payment to the seller minus the charge for our services (See pricing details here).
• Upon completion of transaction, you fill out a confidential seller rating form, which will become part of the seller’s reputation profile.

Reputation is Critical on RecycleMatch

Our goal is to provide the highest quality service for all our customers. While your company and personal information remains confidential, you are still developing a reputation on RecycleMatch. Your actions and the opinions of the sellers you work with will impact your reputation scores. Many sellers are as concerned with the reputation of the buyer as they are the price. So build up your RecycleMatch reputation:

• Honor your bids
• Do not bid on items if you cannot meet sellers environmental or other requirements
• Don’t send non-critical messages. Spam will not be tolerated.
• Make payments promptly
• Coordinate logistics for the match quickly
• If ongoing coordination is involved, be sure that you establish a point person or process
• Fill out seller reputation surveys at the close of transactions
