RecycleMatch: Elevator pitch: Turning one company's industrial waste into another's treasure through online match making.

The idea: Many companies, especially manufactures, pay to have waste hauled off to landfills. RecyleMatch helps them find buyers online who can use the raw materials. RecycleMatch then takes a cut from the transaction.

Users: Launched in July, the site has made one match so far and has about 50 registered sellers.

The brains: Prior to co-founding RecyleMatch, Chad Farrell was an executive at Asset Nation, a Houston-based online auctioneer of salvaged or surplus equipment. Brooke Betts Farrell, his sister-in-law, previously worked as a senior vice president at FKM.

The competition: Several non-profit and government programs, such as the California Materials Exchange and Resource Exchange Network for Eliminating Waste exist, but RecyleMatch says it's the only one that provides a potential revenue stream as an incentive for sellers.
