waste_recycling recyclematchFeb. 2 -- RecycleMatch, a website that looks to connect recyclable materials with recyclers, has a new online bidding service and new CEO.

Chris Porch has been named the company´s new CEO. Porch has led multiple start-ups from inception through rapid growth, most recently at Zag.com, a leading marketplace for new and used cars on the Internet, where he was president and COO. Porch also was CEO of BetweenMarkets and co-founder and vice president of Trilogy Software.

"Due to changing customer demands and supply chain mandates by industry leaders, companies are scrambling to reach zero waste. 70% of materials that get dumped into landfills can be repurposed, and the RecycleMatch marketplace finds those alternative uses. Even commodity recyclables already being diverted benefit from better market exposure and pricing," said Porch.

The site is aimed at large corporations who want to find markets for their wastes. Listed currently on the website are organic wastes from food processing plants, plastic and cardboard packaging and other materials like glass and metals. Each listing provides the quantity and location of the material and how often the material is generated.
