Brooke Betts Farrell - Co-Founder

Brooke is a seventh generation Texan, a practical environmentalist and a student of ordinary life. Brooke looks at business problems like puzzles. Once you’ve built the border, it’s (relatively) easy to fill in the middle. Brooke has seventeen years of marketing strategy, sales and advertising experience working on behalf of major corporations including Shell Oil, Exxon, Goodyear, Coca-Cola and Waste Management. Brooke was most recently Senior Vice President, Brand Director at FKM, a US advertising agency with $250 Million in annual billings. Prior to providing strategic direction and oversight for all of FKM’s clients, Brooke was the FKM Brand Director overseeing the brand transformation of Waste Management, North America’s largest environmental solutions provider, from its former position of trash hauler. Chad Farrell - Co-Founder

Chad is both a machine and a mechanic. He devours data like an iPhone works through a battery. An engineer at heart, Chad loves to build anything from classic cars to disruptive business models. The constant tweaking is the fun part. From his early career days on offshore drilling rigs at Cameron International, to his position on the City of West University Recycling and Solid Waste Board, Chad knows how to roll up his sleeves. Chad has nearly 20 years experience in operations, technology, and the management of growth companies and internet marketplaces. Chad has built other internet marketplace startups, including SalvageSale (Acquired by Spire Capital) and Network International (Acquired by Liquidity Services - Nasdaq: LQDT), where he was Sr Vice President of Strategy and Operations and Chief Operating Officer and Board Member respectively. Before helping to launch Network International in 1999, Chad was responsible for large-scale technology and business process improvement projects for the Management Consulting Group at Ernst & Young LLP. Chad has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. John Price

John Price's career spans three decades of high tech startups. John continues to drive growth through his vision and leadership in all aspects of internet and enterprise business.After a stint as an AI researcher at Shell, John jumped into building high tech startups and never looked back. John is the CEO of Vast.com. Prior to Vast, John served as vice president of marketing and business development at Between Markets, which was sold to Inovis. Before BetweenMarkets, John spent 11 years as vice president of marketing and business development at enterprise software company Trilogy, Inc, where he was critical to the company’s growth from $0 to $250 million in revenue. Previously, John was a director of technical marketing at Neuron Data and an AI associate at Shell Oil.  John is also a board member of Sparefoot.com. John holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.


Rony Kahan

Rony Kahan is the CTO and co-founder of Indeed.com which he started in 2004 and has grown it into the leading global search engine for jobs with over 25 million monthly unique visitors. Prior to Indeed, Rony co-founded jobsinthemoney.com, the leading job site for financial professionals in 1998 and sold it to Financial News in 2003. Rony's background includes technology consulting at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and fast moving consumer goods product marketing experience. He holds and MBA from INSEAD and a BSc in Economics from Texas A&M.

 

Chris Porch

Chris is the President and COO of Zag.com, an online car-buying platform that saves people money and radically improves the experience of searching for and buying a car. Prior to joining Zag, Chris was the CEO of Between Markets, an Austin based software firm that was acquired by Inovis. Chris was a founder of Trilogy Software, Inc. which, during the 13 years he was with the company, amassed annual revenues of more than $250 million at its peak. Chris was appointed by Ford Motor Company to head up a joint venture between Ford and Trilogy that designed and produced FordDirect.com, the first OEM and dealer-backed consumer retail e-commerce portal for direct to consumer vehicle sales. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University.


Ed Roman

Ed is the Founder and CEO of Ghostfire Games, an company specializing in making exercise video games for the Nintendo Wii system. Prior to this, he was founder and CEO of The Middleware Company, a Java training/consulting company, which he sold to Precise Software. While at The Middleware Company, he created the world's largest Java developer community, www.TheServerSide.com. He also created TheServerSide Symposium, a series of international Java conferences which brought the brightest developers together. He is also the author of "Mastering Enterprise JavaBeans", a critically acclaimed book on developing complex business systems in Java. Ed holds a BS in Computer Science from Cornell University
